Sproute recommends specific supplement products and links directly to retailers where you can buy them. Some of these links are affiliate links — meaning if you click through and make a purchase, Sproute may earn a small commission. This costs you nothing extra.
Sproute currently has or is applying for affiliate relationships with the following retailers: Amazon UK (Amazon Associates programme), Holland & Barrett (AWIN network), Myprotein (AWIN network), Bulk (AWIN network), Superdrug (AWIN network), iHerb (iHerb Affiliate programme). This list is updated as relationships change.
Our product rankings are determined entirely by evidence criteria: correct active form, recommended dose, and third-party testing status. We apply these criteria before we know whether a product has an affiliate link. A product with no affiliate relationship would rank above a product with one if its evidence credentials are stronger. Commission rates vary between retailers — we do not favour retailers who pay higher commissions.
Affiliate commissions help fund the research, curation, and running costs of Sproute. Without them, the service would need to charge users directly. We believe a free, honest, evidence-led service supported by transparent affiliate relationships is the right model.
If we ever felt that an affiliate relationship was compromising our independence, we would remove the link. Our reputation for honest, unbiased recommendations is worth more than any commission.
